CareHop is a Nursing Service Provider Organization (SPO) with Ontario Health atHome to provide publicly funded nursing care in Mississauga Halton and Central West regions. We work with Ontario Health atHome, hospitals and other health care partners to deliver safe, dependable and compassionate care to help people recover, live independently and have a good quality of life at home.
How to Access Publicly Funded Home Care
In Ontario, eligible individuals can receive publicly funded home care services, including nursing and personal support, based on an assessment of their care needs. Ontario Health atHome coordinates access to these services and helps determine eligibility. If you or a loved one needs home care, we encourage you to explore publicly funded options first.

That’s why we also provide private pay home care services and In-Home Recovery Program that complement our publicly funded services with more choice, flexibility and personalized care. These services can help people recover safely, live independently and have a good quality of life at home.
HST Exemption for Additional Home Care
If you qualify and are receiving eligible publicly funded home care services, you may be eligible to claim an HST exemption for extra private pay home care services.
Eligibility depends on the type of services received and other applicable requirements.
