What’s your professional background/summary?
I am the Care Coordinator Manager here at CareHop. I have a Bachelors Of Science In Nursing and a minor in Psychology as I have a great passion for Mental Health. I have worked in several hospitals, LTC and community placements throughout achieving my degree.
Why did you decide to join CareHop?
I stumbled upon CareHop after graduating and felt right at home. I have always had a sincere desire to help others and knew I wanted to make a career in doing so. Being at CareHop in the position I am in, allows me to do exactly that and make an impact in ways I was not aware could be possible.
What brings sunshine to you?
Although not working with patients directly, I work with many of the caregivers and facilities and I would say the personal connection that I am able to make with each and every person is the most rewarding. It encourages me to facilitate and fulfill all that I can on a daily basis and no matter how big or small that task might have been it always makes me happy to know I was a part of helping.
What is the one thing that most people don’t know about you?
As much as I enjoy helping people, I also have a great passion for the arts/music. I enjoy music anywhere from R&B and Soul to Soca and Reggaeton. I also enjoy dancing, I play the piano, guitar and ukelele and I also sing.
What’s your favourite vacation place?
As much as I enjoy the hot sun and beach, my favourite destination is anywhere the mountains are such as British Columbia, Oregon (USA) or Calgary (Banff). I thoroughly enjoy being active and outdoors whether that’s in the hot sun or cold winter. Hiking up mountains have been some of my greatest moments of accomplishment.
